Description:
The Baudelaire orphans are sent to the town of Paltryville, where they are to live and work at the Lucky Smells Lumbermill, owned by a man known only as Sir. The mill is a grim, noisy place that smells of horseradish, and the children are given long hours and very little in return, while the other workers seem strangely dull and obedient.
Violet, Klaus and Sunny soon realize that something is not right at the mill. A mysterious foreman, a suspicious doctor and a new, dangerous scheme are all at work, and the siblings must figure out who they can trust. With Count Olaf’s plots never far behind, the children must use their talents and courage to survive and uncover the truth.
