Description:
Sophie is a young orphan who is awake in the middle of the night when she spots a gigantic figure creeping through the streets of her town. The figure, a giant, snatches her from her bed and carries her off to Giant Country. Sophie fears she will be eaten, but she soon discovers that her kidnapper is the Big Friendly Giant, a gentle soul who collects dreams, blows them into the bedrooms of sleeping children, and speaks in his own muddled, made-up language.
The BFG is very different from the other giants, who are enormous, cruel and love to feast on “human beans.” Sophie and the BFG become friends and form a bold plan to stop the child-eating giants once and for all, with some help from an unexpected royal ally.
